My first pair of mom jeans..with a fun twist. I’ve always been interested in “mom jeans” but didn’t want them to end up looking to0 90s mom-ish. When I found this pair with the flare ankle, I was sold. I wanted the volume and focus of the look to be on the flare of the jeans, so I kept the top half more fitted, and simple.

Have a good weekend!

I was so in love with the style of this dress as soon as I saw it on Nordstrom‘s site. It’s feminine, elegant, blousy, and simplistic all in one.

It’s known every woman needs a little black dress in her closet, but for spring and summer it’s a necessity to have a little white dress that’s no fuss and easy.

I wanted to keep the look light, so I added my new metallic espadrille-style sneakers! They’re the perfect sneaker for warmer climates because the perforation lets your feet breath.

Have a great day!

Dress- C/O Maggy London

A classic fit & flare style dress is perfect now that spring has arrived, and with Easter this weekend! This is my second look in collaboration with Maggy London for their London Times line!

When spring hits, my style gets a little more girly. I love that the print of this dress is a leaf pattern, instead of floral, because it’s an easier print to pull off for the not so over the top girly girls out there. And of course I love that the dress is black and white, it makes the dress really chic and polished.

I like that this dress can work for anyone’s style. You could keep it super feminine, or add a little unexpected edge to it, like I did with my leather moto jacket.

I love the sophisticated & flattering, fit & flare silhouette of this dress. It’s such a classic shape for spring. Usually dresses with a fuller skirt are overwhelming on my small frame, but with the slight v-neck, and cinched waist, this dress accentuates the little shape I do have. I wanted to draw a little more attention to my waist, so I added a little tie belt.

I hope you enjoyed my second look with Maggy London!

Have a great Easter weekend!

I haven’t always been the biggest floral fan. But I fell in love with the shape of this dress, and the detailing, and totally looked past the floral. I’m easing my way into florals, I mean it’s spring now after all.

This dress has a very boho vibe, and it’s a little fancier than most dresses I go for. But I wanted to make it more ‘street style’ approved and understated, so I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of sneakers. I also love that the floral is darker, so it’s not over the top girly.

How to keep your florals edgy:

  1. Go darker- opt for darker or more muted florals, or black and white.
  2. Add an unexpected piece- whether it be an edgy jacket (like a leather moto or a bomber jacket), or an unexpected shoe- like sneakers or  cool booties.
  3. Play with accessories- play with cool sunnies, and opt for jewelry like a mens-style watch, or chokers, also…a good neck scarf never hurt anyone 😉

I love when that time finally comes around to switch out my staple winter pieces for the updated spring version. I love opting for this slightly cropped, short sleeve, chambray button up for the spring instead of a long-sleeve, thicker one. I paired the top with my go-to mini and favorite loafers!

Have a good weekend!

IMG_8505_2I swear I didn’t plan to wear two white vests back to back…but they’re kinda awesome.

I’m the kind of person that wears my black leather jacket even in the summer just because it’s edgy and goes with everything. But this white moto vest is a great alternative 1. because I won’t die of a heat stroke and 2. it’s white which get’s me out of an all black outfit (there”s nothing wrong with that but sometimes I just want to switch it up).

I’ve had this vest probably two or three years and never wore it. It was always a little intimidating to me, but pairing it with a simple black dress (which is an oldie but a goodie as well) it makes the look more classic rather than super edgy.
