Hey there! I’m Laura Paulsen Ware and I’m the creator of Skirts of Urban. Skirts of Urban documents my simple lifestyle living in Louisiana, the ups and downs on life, as well as my effortlessly trendy, with a hint of vintage, style. I launched Skirts of Urban in April 2014 as an outlet for my love of styling the newest trends and adding my own twist to them. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without my faith, and support from my community, family, and friends.
You’ll usually find me spending my time with my amazing boyfriend fiance Husband (and photographer) Mason, eating, searching for the nearest cup of coffee, and online shopping.
Right now Skirts of Urban has been my hobby alongside working a full-time job as a receptionist. I love this blog as a creative outlet and want it to grow even more, so it can be a place for of inspiration. I live in a small town in Louisiana and my style definitely doesn’t fit in here, but that’s what I love about being a blogger, being able to step out of what’s normal and try new things, even risky things.
I’ve worked with some amazing companies including Rent the Runway, Madewell, Rocksbox, Polette Eyewear, Bishop + Young, and many more. I was the 2016 Summer Ambassador for the brand Maggy London, and I’ve been featured on Forever 21 social media, as well as Mink Pink, BCBGeneration, French Connection, and also stylecaster.com. And I was featured in the April 2016 Marie Claire Issue.
