Jumping into Spring

Hello….spring is already here. Any one else super taken aback by this?? fullsizeoutput_7403

To welcome the new season, I’m jumping into my springiest outfit I have right now!

I’m in love with this WhoWhatWear jumpsuit from their spring line, it’s got such a girly 50s housewife kind of vibe to it, while still taking on an up-to-date style.

fullsizeoutput_73f7I love the black accents on this jumpsuit, it adds a very chic touch and the accessories tie in perfectly with it. I added a bit of brightness with my white floral bag and new Charles & Keith light pink heels! I’ve been obsessed with stalking the Charles & Keith website. I can’t wait to purchase more shoes from them. All of their shoes are so on point with the current shoe trends while putting their own twist into them. You’ll be so surprised by the price on their shoes, because they’re such amazing quality and are so unique without breaking the bank!

Vintage-Inspired Neutrals

I’ve got the vintage bug lately…

getting dressed has been fun for me again. I go through waves of loving my style and then not being sure what I love. But recently I’ve been loving unexpected fits with a classic feel and kind of playing “dress up”. When I take my looks to0 seriously or try to fit my style into what I think it should be, it loses it’s authenticity. Fashion’s all about trying new things but also sticking with what you know!

This look is the perfect example of polishly un-polished. The culottes and the smart white blouse are chic and fits of the pieces along with the flats give the perfect effortless touch.

We’re one week away from spring and I can’t wait to bust out all of the pretty pastels, but neutrals this time of year are also such a staple and shouldn’t be left out!

Revisited: Little Black Romper

fullsizeoutput_54ef

A little black romper is almost as important as a little black dress, especially in the warmer months.

If you’ve been a follower for a little bit, you’ve definitely seen this romper before. This Halston Heritage romper is something I could wear every day. It’s so simple, I mean it’s a plain black romper, but the zipper detailing makes the whole piece feel so luxe.

I kept it casual with my Steve Madden slip-on loafers, which I’ve dubbed my “it shoe” of spring and summer. I also have on my mirrored sunnies (from Wear Me Pro) to hide behind when I don’t feel like doing my makeup, lol!

I also love this romper with a little block heel sandal for a dressier look, but still simple.

Revisited: The Floral Dress turned Tunic

fullsizeoutput_54d9

If I can remember correctly, I think I’ve had this BCBGeneration floral dress for 4 years. You know a piece is good, and it was a good purchase when it can still be worn after 4 years. I switched this dress up by wearing it as a tunic paired with my ripped white skinnies for the perfect juxtaposition of slightly edgy and girly.

I haven’t worn this dress in probably 2 years because the length was just a little too short for me since my high school days. I pulled up the waist on the dress, so it makes for the perfect tunic length.

You may have noticed I’ve been playing with color more, here on my blog and Instagram.

Something about this spring just makes me want to step out and try colors and it’s been fun getting colorful outfit inspo, and shopping for fun colors.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing I love more than my neutrals. But, life’s short and I’m having fun trying different things!

The 1 Black Dress You’ll Ever Need

fullsizeoutput_536f

I feel like since I was born, I’ve always heard that I will always need a classic LBD in my closet. Through out the years you learn how important a little black dress can be. It sounds silly to uphold a piece of clothing, but a black dress kind of lives your life with you. Whether that dress is for weddings, church, date night, or even the “interview dress”.  It’s a timeless piece and can grow with you through different seasons of life. This button-up dress from the Who What Wear collection, is the do-it-all super woman dress. I kept it casual and fresh with my crisp, white flats. Switch out the flats for heels and you have the perfect day-to-night look.

Sometimes clothes are just pieces of cloth sewn together. They can tell a story and create memories, and that’s the part of “fashion” that I love.

What piece of clothing describes you?

Another beautiful BCBGeneration dress coming at you, and this one is perfect for spring!! The weather currently can’t make up its mind whether it wants to be winter or spring. I live in these kind of dresses this time of year, because I can layer and I can remove…and I get the best of both worlds!

I love how the dress has a moody vibe to it but playful with the pretty smocking detail on the chest.
