New Nautical

Nautical style is a classic style but not usually a look I go for. But with this new Bishop + Young top paired with these Forever 21 pants gives me 2018 nautical vibes.

I personally love cold-shoulder tops because as a Louisiana resident, especially right now, these kind of tops are perfect for the flip-flopping weather.

Red is obviously the “it” color…literally everyone is wearing it. But instead of pairing this top with black, which looks a little more intense and edgy, I paired it with navy blue which is a little bit softer.

I kept the accessories neutral but love the texture from the pearl bag and the soft gold from these glam heels.

Playing with Primary

Primary color combos can be a bold choice, but in chic silhouettes they can make for a statement yet chic look.

Red and yellow have definitely been the “it” colors for 2017, and rightfully so. These 2 primary colors can definitely amp up a look whether it’s edgy or feminine.

I chose to incorporate some earthy browns into the mix to level out the look and kind of bring everything together.

Primary colors might not be for everyone, especially mixing them, but I think it’s a fun fashion risk to take. Putting primary colors together will definitely make a statement look, but when put together with the right accessories and materials, its makes such a classic outfit!
