Can it be fall yet?? I absolutely can not wait for fall to arrive! But unfortunately we’re currently (or at least I am) stuck in that awkward period between summer and fall where you want to wear the darkest colors and sweaters but the heat does not permit that. Soooo today’s look I took what I would consider a “transitional” look. I plan on wearing this maxi with closed-toe booties and an oversized sweater come fall and winter, but for now I’m dressing it up with a light, and fun colored blazer and gladiator sandal/booties!

Distressed

 

Here we are again with my mixing textures. I paired this rather edgier piece with my well loved slouchy trouser/jogger pants. I love how the bottom half of the outfit is more chic and classic and then the rough edges of the top makes the look more casual. I went simple with the shoes and bag to let the button-up do all of the talking!

Side note: if you are wondering, yes I did get a rather spur-of-the moment chopping of the hair and I love it! I’m definitely a short-hair kinda gal now!

Sheer

 

As you all can probably tell, I love black. I love how black can make the simplest of pieces super chic, and also how black can be worn no matter what season. This “blouse” is great as a flowy and effortless dress in the summer, and in the fall I plan on wearing it over jeans and adding some boots (since it doesn’t get cold where I live) for that “put together, undone” look.

Black Nirvana

 

I love simple, and classic outfits with a modern twist. I paired a classic high-neck tank with slouchy trousers. To make it more modern, but keep that vintage-y classic feel, I added these  Mary-Jane split-wedge platforms.

Transitonal

 

I love pieces that can be worn for every season (doesn’t everyone?). This romper isn’t really considered a “classic” piece but it has definitely been a staple in my wardrobe for the past year. The way I made this romper fit for summer is by pairing it with a gladiator sandal/heel (I’ve been OBSESSED with these lately, so comfortable!), and a light top. I added a blazer to kind of “mature” the look and make it more “business casual”.
