Last year at this time my style was a lot more menswear inspired and I love how I can kind of see my style changing and becoming a little more girly. Of course all black is the same in my style but I’ve been leaning more towards skirts and dresses lately. But I always love adding an edgy element to a feminine outfit to kind of balance it out, like a leather jacket, or a cool accessory.

I’m also excited that I finally decided to get these Quay sunnies that I had been eyeing since the summer. Just a warning, you’ll be seeing them on face for a while because the love for these sunglasses are real.

Back to the regular grind after vacation, but that just means I get to start officially dressing for fall!

These overalls were love at first sight. I love how they’re modern and vintage looking at the same time.

The 70s trend is going to be staying with us throughout the fall and I can’t wait to start featuring the 70s inspired pieces I have piling up in my closet waiting to be featured.

I’ve been loving (and searching) for lace up tops because they’re the perfect transitional top. Paired with a light faux suede skirt, and lace up heels says “I’m ready for fall, but it’s still 90 degrees outside”.

I won’t be able to bust out my fall clothes when the first day of fall arrives, because I’m currently on vacation in Destin, FL! So if you’d like to see what I’m up to and what last days of summer outfits I’ll be wearing, follow me on Instagram: skirtsofurbanblog

A pant suit, whether for a man or woman, is such a classic look. I intertwined a polished look with casual accents, the cami and sneakers, for a more comfortable carefree approach to this look. Wearing a pant suit is probably the easiest transitional look you can go for, because you can always add or subtract pieces and change the whole look entirely by just a few simple changes, like adding a button up, heels, a scarf, boots, etc.

A denim skirt is a must have for the transitional months. They’re one of those pieces that can’t be styled wrong. You can literally wear a chic denim skirt with a graphic tee and sneakers or a nice blouse and heels and you’ll look put together no matter what.
I feel like it took me forever to find the perfect denim skirt that 1) didn’t look like the denim minis I wore as a child and 2) the right shade of denim that could be easily paired with other denim.
Also, a flowy white button up is must have. I love this Bishop + Young one because it has a classic feel but has the cool, and edgy slits in the side.
