Buttercup

Long time no blog post…I feel like I say that a lot but it’s always good for me to take a break and kind of re-group my thoughts. Taking little breaks definitely help with gathering motivation and inspiration.

I’ve been putting off uploading this look because #bloggerfail, nothing in this look is available. But for me, I don’t always go to blogger’s sites to get exactly what they’re wearing, but more for inspiration. I picked up this dress at Topshop at The Galleria in Houston and it was on sale which made it even more perfect.

This dress is a “me” dress and it’s the epitome of the style I’m going for this spring. I’m so excited to pull out some pretty and girly spring looks for you guys, so stay tuned!

Floral Flare

This new ‘Harper’ dress from London Times is the perfect taste of fall floral!

I love fun florals for fall. Because the color palette is darker and fabrics are heavier in the fall, it’s fun to have a splash of color! I love the dainty feel of this A-line dress to counteract the edginess of the dark colors and my boots.

I also love wearing this dress right now for the “transitional” months with a cute wedge to keep the long-sleeved dress summer-weather appropriate. This dress isn’t heavy even though it’s long-sleeved, so it can easily be worn alone right now or layered under a faux-leather jacket in the fall!

Summer Pink

Trying to make the last moments of summer count with my more summer-y pieces! I feel like everyone is already in the fall mood, and I am one of those people. I feel like my style thrives with boots and turtlenecks…I. can’t. wait. But for now, while the temperature is still in the 100’s, I’ll stick with my lighter pieces.

I’ll be the first to admit that this romper is an odd one. I was so drawn to the unique length and the pretty pink color. This was a trickier piece to style, and I’ve been holding onto it in my closet for at least 2 months because I couldn’t get the styling quite right. I secretly love a style challenge, it make clothes a little more exciting. I wanted to keep the romper simple and light, so adding pops of white and neutral pieces I feel keeps the look crisp and fresh.

Vintage Dior

If you follow me on Instagram, you would’ve seen this amazing vintage Dior top already. The top comes with a matching knee-length skirt which is so vintage and elegant all together.

I found this amazing set while in Austin a few weeks ago at a cool shop called Co-Star. The store has an amazing vintage section in the back of the store where there was so many amazing vintage pieces, plus they were having a sale so I had to check it out. I spotted this set first and was instantly attracted to the print. I had to try it on because it was my size and I would hate myself if I didn’t. It fit like a glove and I knew both the top and skirt could go with so many different things.

I love the top paired with these new amazing cropped flare jeans from Nasty Gal. These pants aren’t even really denim, they ‘re super stretchy and actually feel like a jegging, and I like the balance and how they make the top a little less dressy.

The Fifth Label dress via Duck & Dressing | ASOS Heels (currently on sale!)  | Kate Spade bag

A simple t-shirt dress is a must. A striped one is even better.

I love this updated The Fifth Label t-shirt dress with the awesome asymmetrical hem. I added my “edgier” extras to play with the feminine silhouette.

This dress is one of those pieces that is so simple that it’s beautiful and effortless.
