Today’s look is from when I went to Houston last weekend. I love “going into the city” because the city scenery makes any outfit look so effortlessly cool.

A double flare is sometimes a little much, but I think by playing with the proportions- the cropped top and high-waisted jeans- it works.

Casual Suit

I used to be all about the tailored pant suit. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good pant suit, but as of late I’ve been keeping my look more carefree and casual.

This denim jumpsuit is the only kind of suit I want to be in right now. It’s probably because it’s been 80 degrees the past couple of days in Louisiana, and I can’t even think about being layered up and clothes clinging to my body.

The Black Sheep

     Will the cold weather ever come, and actually stay? Maybe if I throw on a sweater, when it’s 85 degrees out, that will help the fall/winter weather come faster? Not very logical. But I am a sweater enthusiast, and I can’t wait any longer to start wearing them!

Wearing all black could get pretty boring, if you don’t play with textures, details, and shapes. To mix it up, instead of just a plain sweater I opted for this faux-shearling sweatshirt with zipper hip details. I paired it with this A-line, trumpet skirt, the houndstooth bag, and these awesome heels!
