Sweater dresses are a staple in my closet for the cold months. I love them with a heeled boot or a classic slide-on sneaker. While sweater dresses are super comfy and easy, you do have to be careful with proportions and shape. Essentially, sweater dresses are a glorified and cute sack dress. But, if you use the right formula, they’re easy to pull off. The most important thing is to add structure. I did this by belting my trench coat, a structured bag, and sturdy boots. Even though the trench is a mix between flowy and structured, it definitely pulls the whole look together.

Love is…

Love is when you start to love the things you hated about yourself because the other person loves those things.

Love is forgiving the other person, even if you think know they’re wrong.

Love is being completely annoyed by that person, but loving them so unconditionally at the same time.

Love is sometimes complicated and frustrating but it also is joyful and fun.

Love is…simple.
Simple: not hard to understand or do.
Loving him is simple.

Cut-out

 

It’s the weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited! For the weekend I like to keep it casual and comfy. Today’s look I took this t-shirt dress (which is so basic but eye-catching because of the cut-outs) and added my fave “sneakers” which are perfect for walking around town.

I love simple, and classic outfits with a modern twist. I paired a classic high-neck tank with slouchy trousers. To make it more modern, but keep that vintage-y classic feel, I added these  Mary-Jane split-wedge platforms.

Transitonal

 

I love pieces that can be worn for every season (doesn’t everyone?). This romper isn’t really considered a “classic” piece but it has definitely been a staple in my wardrobe for the past year. The way I made this romper fit for summer is by pairing it with a gladiator sandal/heel (I’ve been OBSESSED with these lately, so comfortable!), and a light top. I added a blazer to kind of “mature” the look and make it more “business casual”.

The checkered print has been one of my favorite patterns of the moment. The print adds a nice element of chic-ness to a rather casual look. I paired this Parisian style crop top from JOA with my overalls that I got from Wet Seal, that I practically live in!
