You’ve definitely seen the double denim trend, or better known as the “Canadian tuxedo”, this year. I thought, “what’s better than 2 layers of denim? Of course, 3 layers!”. I think it’s unexpected but still looks classic in a way.

I added the little neck tie, and a classic heel & bag to mimic more of an actual suit, and give the relaxed denim look a more polished feel.

Throw the “no white after Labor day” rule out of the window. I feel like the rule has been on its way out for a while, but now I feel like it’s officially out. But to keep the look fall/winter appropriate, I keep the textures of the white pieces fall appropriate. And by adding boots, it adds more to the fall feel, and if it was colder, I’d wear tights.

I fell in love with this top the moment I saw it. I fell even harder when I tried it on because the fit of this top is absolutely amazing. This top is so basic, but so beautiful at the same time. This is one of those tops I can see myself wearing in 10 years, you know, if I can keep it white for that long.

Also, can we talk about how fun this fringe skirt is?? Nothing better than a skirt that’s business on the top and a party on the bottom!

If it’s okay, I’d like to say this is my favorite look I’ve ever posted. It’s a total mixture of my favorite things- a sleek boot, fringe, a classic bag & top, and some cool shades. This outfit will definitely be recycled multiple times, and I’m not ashamed.

This blazer is one of my favorite pieces in my closet, well my mother’s closet because it’s stolen from her. I love the oversized fit of the blazer and how it adds a masculine touch if added to a feminine look, like in today’s outfit. It made me happy too to find that this blazer and my new bag matched perfectly. I love the color of this bag because in certain light it looks gray or light tan, so it’s pretty versatile.

Last year at this time my style was a lot more menswear inspired and I love how I can kind of see my style changing and becoming a little more girly. Of course all black is the same in my style but I’ve been leaning more towards skirts and dresses lately. But I always love adding an edgy element to a feminine outfit to kind of balance it out, like a leather jacket, or a cool accessory.

I’m also excited that I finally decided to get these Quay sunnies that I had been eyeing since the summer. Just a warning, you’ll be seeing them on face for a while because the love for these sunglasses are real.
