All About Timing

 

Orange and I have not always agreed with each other. I have bad memories from my childhood of my mom always dressing me in this one rust colored top and I just remember hating it. I vowed from then on I would never own, or wear, anything orange. As you can see I broke that vow! This year different variations of orange have been all the rage, and I actually was willing to open my closet back up to the this former nemesis color. I just think this particular bright orange color looks great on a lot of skin tones and just gives off a nice bronzy glow! I paired this crop tank with some light weight jogger type pants and I think it dresses up the tank and makes it look effortlessly chic!

I haven’t worn this adorable overall dress in a while, and I have no idea why. This overall dress is perfect for making the simplest of tops into something classic and cute! This look is really girly, but to stick to my style roots I stayed with the black and white color scheme to keep the look edgy but still chic!

Summer Black

 

I will admit I wear a lot of black and it can get a bit boring, that’s why with this look I added a mixture of textures to add an element of interest. This look is also a very adaptable look and can be styled for every season. Of course pleather and knit aren’t exactly ideal for summer weather, but most faux-leather’s are thin (like this skirt) and I just wore my bra underneath the woven top to get some ventilation to keep myself from becoming a puddle of sweat (tmi? probably).

Overly Romanticized

 

Sometimes I have my really girly days and this floral skirt satisfies my rare girly fashion needs! To keep the look true to my style I kept it dark with the lace-detailed halter style top and my Mary-Jane style platforms (which are outstandingly comfortable!).

Informality

 

The overalls are back in town! Terribly lame? Probably. I kind of strayed away from my overalls for a little bit, but was recently re-inspired to pull these bad boys back out! They are honestly so simple to style and are perfect for those days, where I’m just having to throw things on and not having the chance to plan and outfit! I’m always looking for new ways to spice up the basic white tee and overalls are one of my favorite ways to do so!

Concrete Park

    

 Boyfriend Jeans, and no boyfriend? No problem! I’m not an avid wearer of denim pants (or pants in general), but there are some days where I think to myself and say “this is a jeans day”.  I’ve been loving boyfriend jeans because so they’re so comfy and different than the “norm”. Even when I wear jeans, I still like to dress it up! By adding heels I instantly feel like a chic city gal!
